Therapy for Black Girls → Founded by licensed psychologist, speaker, and host of the mental health podcast, Therapy for Black Girls, Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, this online resource hub houses endless mental wellness educational materials for our consumption. It also includes an easy-to-use therapist search portal to connect with affordable and local professionals for in-office or virtual therapy, with a specialization in women and girls of color.
Alma → Finding access to mental health resources can be an intimidating process, but it doesn’t have to be. Alma is an online tool dedicated to matching people with therapists who are well-suited for their unique needs. And their process is as easy as 1..2..3! To get started, simply browse their director, book a consultation, then select the right therapist for you.
Loveland Foundation → If you’re not following Rachel Cargle on social, run, don’t walk, to join the tribe. You’ll thank me later. This foundation has raised more than $250,000 to provide therapy support for women and girls of color. It provides fellowships, residency programs, listening tours, and more, all available through an online application process, so be sure to subscribe to their emails to stay in-the-know.
